Jammu, Mar 26 (KNO): The Northern Command Investiture Ceremony 2026 is slated to be held on Saturday (March 28) at the headquarters in Udhampur.
According to the details available with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) ninety-two (92) awards will be conferred upon soldiers and units of the Indian Army for their exceptional service and bravery.
An official said that the awards include 51 individual honours and 41unit citations, recognising exemplary performance across a range of operations, including Operation Sindoor. The ceremony aims to honour acts of courage, distinguished service, and unwavering commitment to duty.
He said the awards will be presented by Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Northern Command, who will felicitate the awardees for their outstanding contributions in challenging and demanding conditions.
Notably, the investiture ceremony is considered one of the most prestigious events of the Northern Command, celebrating both individual and collective achievements while reinforcing the core values of valour, selflessness, and patriotism within the Indian Army.
A large number of serving personnel, award recipients, and their family members are expected to attend the ceremony, making it a moment of pride and inspiration for the armed forces community.
